Small "Possible" Diplomatic Bayonet Brown
Leather Frog;Small brown leather, double-stitched
frog measuring 6 7/8" in length with correspondingly
small scabbard pocket shows age and light wear to
leather, but no rips or tears and no damage to stitching.
Frog was possibly used with the RARE Diplomatic bayonet
which had a scabbard that was smaller and more delicate

this pattern hanger is pictured on page 47 of Third
Reich Edged Weapon Accouterments. Unmarked, black
leather teardrop hanger with attached belt loop features
an unplated steel box-type clip on obverse that connects
to the upper clip of chain hanger. Hanger shows minor
age to leather to leather, but appears to be unissued/unused
with no wear to leather or stitching and only minor
age to steel fittings. Rare accouterment recently

Feldherrnhalle Dagger Hanger Buckle.
A photograph of this pattern buckle appears on page
46 of Collecting the Edged Weapons of the Third
Reich, Volume I. Round, open-face, cast brass
buckle measuring 1 ¼” in diameter features raised
oak leaf pattern on obverse. Buckle has not been completely
finished and has portions of flashing remaining. Buckle
is without the reverse center attaching bar and tongue.

The leather is RZM stamped "RZM L2/371/39"

However, the straps glow under black light. These

to have never been attached to a belt. Unmarked, pebbled
lightweight metal buckle retains virtually 100% of
the frosted aluminum finish showing only minor wear

leaf wreath and Wehrmacht eagle which is attached
to the buckle face by four metal tabs. An illustration

photograph of these RARE hangers can be found on page

Pre-1905 Royal Prussian Jäger zu Pherde Officer's
Sword Hanger.The Jäger zu Pherde (Mounted
Rifle) Regiments were the last Cavalry units to be
organized in the German Army. They were organized
between 1895 and 1913 culminating in a total of 13
regiments on the troop lists of the the German Army
that entered World War I. The uniform of these units
was a gray-green color with a blackened polished steel
helmet of cuirassier pattem. M-89 Cavalry swords were
carried suspended from sword hangers of gold lace
on green leather backing. This hanger, measuring 11
¾" in length, is constructed of 5/8"
wide gold bullion lace with a center green stripe
on a pigskin embossed gree leather backing. Attached
to the upper edge of hanger is a rectangular gilded
brass box type fitting with gilded brass regain chain.
The lower hanger is complete with a rectangular gold
plated buckle with black enamel lower clip. The gold
lace, green leather backing and gold plated fittings
grade EX++ showing only minor age patina/wear to gold
lace with no damage to leather or fittings. RARE Imperial

Tan unmarked leather, double-stitched, hanger grades
EX++ showing only minor wear/age with no rips, tear
or damage to stitching. The hanger is comprised of
a 6 ½" long X 6" wide, Y-shaped base
with straps to attach the hanger to the saddle at
the upper ends of the "Y" arms and a pocket
with an adjuster strap at the base of the "Y"
to secure the scabbard. This item is a RARE, high

Luftwaffe General's Degen Hanger. This RARE hanger
consists of a rolled/stitched brown/tan leather strap
formed in a "U" shape, with a sliding adjuster
strap near the closed end of the "U", and
two small leather covered buckles/keepers at the upper
ends of the hanger straps. These hangers were offered
as an alternative to the more commonly seen frog suspension
device. Leather shows wear, but no rips or tears.

Royal
Bavarian Brocade Dress Belt. RARE belt was recently
purchased in Germany from the estate of Zeugoffizier
Joseph Sachenbacher, Artillerie-Werkstätten München.
Research in the 1914 ranklist of the Royal Bavarian
Army reveals Zeugoffizier Sachenbacher was serving
as a Zeuglleutnant with date of rank of 03 March 1911.
The belt, measuring 43mm in width feature silver bullion
brocade facing with two, 5mm wide, alternating, Bavarian
blue silk thread stripes, is complete with both brocade
keepers, and navy blue, wool backing. Belt is complete
with round 45mm diameter gilt buckle showing only
light age to the highlights with 100% of the honey
gold finish remaining in the recesses of the oak leaf
border and center Royal Bavarian Crown. RARE brocade
belt and buckle recently in Germany.
