Rare SS/Police White Parade Bayonet Frog. This rare frog in unissued condition is constructed of white finished leather/leatherette featuring 4-rivet, triple-stitched construction. Although unused, frog does show some minor cracking/lifting to finish on top edge of bayonet pocket and around lug slot. Reverse is maker marked, "A. Fischer Berlinc.2 1938." Both the LAH and Police units wore white accouterments to include belts/straps and frogs for parades and ceremonial functions. Unissued Army EM Belt Buckle. This superb belt buckle, recently obtained from the estate of WWII, 28th Infantry Division veteran Ernest Hormann, appears to have never been attached to a belt. Unmarked, pebbled lightweight metal buckle retains virtually 100% of the silver/aluminum finish showing only minor wear to the highlights of the "Gott mit Uns"/oak leaf wreath and Wehrmacht eagle which is attached to the buckle face by four metal tabs. Luftwaffe EM Leather Belt & Buckle. Dark brown leather belt shows surface wear with no rips or tears and with reverse belt size stamped, "90" (cm). Variation Early RAD Hewer Hanger. This early hanger appears to be a variation of the hanger shown being worn on page 36, right, of Third Reich Edged Weapon Accouterments. The unmarked brown leather hanger consists of a 6" long belt loop and lower buckle section with a large protective leather piece added to the lower edge of the strap. In addition to the lower protective piece, a small 1 ½" long brown leather loop has been added to the upper portion of the belt loop section. The purpose of this strap is unknown. This superb belt measuring 45cm in width features bright aluminum bullion brocade facing with two 5mm wide black stripes showing virtually no wear or age and is complete with both brocade keepers. SA brown gabardine backing has no rips, or tears; however, there are two small moth nips, and is complete with paper RZM tag marked, "U4/3" and "No. 004577". Belt is complete with round 55mm diameter silver-plated buckle showing only light age patina to the polished surfaces of its high relief central HJ eagle clutching HJ diamond inside ribbed border with, "Blut und Ehre" motto in high relief letters. Ribbed border, pebbled background behind eagle and recesses of eagle motif retain 100% of the factory frosting. Reverse buckle retains virtually 100% of the factory frosting/finish to the belt catch which is maker marked, "RZM M4/22" (C. Th. Dicke, Lüdenscheid). Hitler Youth Leader Belt Buckle. This pattern buckle was introduced in 1937 and was worn with the black leather belt as well as the brocade dress belt. Round 55mm diameter silver-plated buckle shows age patina to the polished surfaces of the high relief central HJ eagle clutching HJ diamond inside ribbed border with "Blut und Ehre" motto in high relief letters. Ribbed border, pebbled background behind eagle, and recesses of eagle motif retain 100% of the factory frosting. Reverse buckle retains virtually 100% of the factory frosting with age patina to the belt catch which is maker marked, "RZM M4/22" (C. Th. Dicke, Lüdenscheid). Rare SS Bullion Sword Hanger.
A photograph of this style rare hanger, recently obtained in Germany, appears on page 74 of Uniforms of the SS, Volume III, by Andrew Mollo. Hanger features silver bullion-faced 12 ½" long black leather strap with silver plated rectangular buckle and nickel-plated lower clip which is stamped with a fouled anchor on the reverse. This fouled anchor stamp is often seen on SS-related items. Attached to the upper end of the strap is a nickel-plate over brass D-ring with black leather belt loop and nickel-plated regain chain showing minor crazing to the reverse of the regain chain clip. Rare SS/Police Teardrop/Vertical Sword Hanger. An illustration of this rare variation hanger appears as item Nr. 250, "Birnenf. Gehänge mit Lederring" (pear-shaped hanger with leather ring) in the Röder & Cie Lederwarenfabrik sales catalog. Hanger features a 6 ½" long leather teardrop with an upper leather snap strap and lower leather-covered metal ring. The sword scabbard was inserted through the ring until the ring engaged the scabbard suspension bands/ring. Leather strap was then snapped around the scabbard between the suspension band and scabbard throat, enabling the sword to be carried in a vertical position. Hanger is complete with upper nickel-plated box-type fitting which was attached to a belt loop or over-the-shoulder harness. Rare accouterment! Near MINT (21995) $450.
