"After the Battle" Magazine.
Magazines were printed in England and were released on a quarterly basis. I have not seen any in quite some time. Titles available are: Battle of Hong Kong; Colditz; The Death of Leigh-Mallory; Rudolf Hess; Russelsheim Death March; and St. Malo 1944. Exc++ (14711) $8.@

"The Era of Edged Military Weapons".
By LTC (Ret.) Thomas M. Johnson (then Major). This article appears in the first issue (Vol. I, issue no. 1) of the magazine entitled, The Classic Collector, Fall 1973. This article summarizes the use of edged weapons within the military, with emphasis on World War II Germany. A 6-page article including numerous photographs (some in color). Also of note to collectors is a fascinating article in the same magazine entitled, The Pickelhaube by COL Robert Rankin, USMC (Ret.) and an interesting article entitled, Nazi Police and NSDAP Pistols by Dr. Burton C. Zweibel. Three great articles for the price of one! These magazines are not only new, but still in their issue mailing wrappers. Only a FEW available. $10.@

“Field Gray”.
This is the authorized British/American edition of Feldgrau, a scholarly German publication. This translation is edited by Fred Davis, Jr. The softcover, 24-page booklet features authentic and documented articles relating to all phases of Germany's military history. Uniforms, equipment, orders and decorations for the period 1865-1945 are included. Available from the series are the following MINT issues:

German Magazine entitled, "Geschichte Historisches Magazin".
This magazine is dated July/August 1979. German text. Softbound; 55 pages. Has an in-depth article on Field Marshal Erwin Rommel with some photographs of his funeral, a list of dates and events which highlighted Rommel's career. Only ONE copy available. Exc++ (11084) $12.

"Hermann Göring's Industrial Presentation Sword".
By LTC (Ret.) Thomas M. Johnson (then Major). Article is entitled, Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring's Industrial Presentation Sword and was printed in the July 1975 issue of "Collector's World". This 2-page article is the most comprehensive write-up to date on Göring's most famous Industrial sword. Only a few available. $15.@

Imperial Edged Weapon Pamphlets.
Published by Karl R. Pawlas, Publizistisches Archiv fur Waffen-und Militargeschichte, Nurnberg. Most likely printed in the l970s, large format, each booklet measures 8" x 11 3/4". Features full-page pictures of many outstanding Imperial edged weapons identified in German. German text. Excellent references for identification purposes. Exc++/Near MINT (14547) $45.@

“Leslie’s Illustrated Weekly Newspaper”.
Large 11” x 14” magazine, English text w/photographs, dated 28 September 1916, printed by Leslie-Judge Company, New York, New York. This large format magazine appears to be forerunner of the “Life” magazine with feature stories, world news and photographs, as well as advertisements. Cover features full color illustration entitled, “Europes Emblems of Valor” to include British Victoria Cross, German Iron Cross and Croix De Guerr of France and Belgium, plus Rumanian, Serbian and Italian medals. Included inside the magazine is a brief history and description of the above medals. Light age and wear. Nice medal reference. Exc+ (18940) $20.

"Man At Arms" Magazine, March/April 1980 Issue.
Published by Andrew Mowbray. Softbound; English text; 64 pages. This long out-of-print issue contains an interesting article on the Göring Wedding sword by LTC (Ret.) Thomas Johnson. Exc++ (18515) $18.50

“Militaria” Collectors Magazine.
This rare, out-of-pint magazine was published for a short time in 1970-1971, and each issue is 16 – 18 pages in length. Each issue covers items of interest to militaria collectors and most are complete with black and white photographs. Exc++/Near MINT (19268) $5.@ Four different issues are available with highlights as follows.

  • Vol. I, No. 5: Fallschirmjäger; the Infanterie-Regiment Grossdeutschland, and Helmets of the German Army 1895-1915 (limited quantity)
  • Vol. II, No. 2: Hermann Göring Division and the Sturmabzeichen (limited quantity)

NSFK Magazine Grouping.
This grouping consists of the October 1937 and May 1943 editions of the “Deutsche Luftwacht Modelflug” (Model Aircraft); the February 1939 edition of “Deutsche Luftwacht-Luftwelt (Aviation News & Updates), and the February and April 1939 editions of the newsletter of the NSFK Group 11 (Hessen Westmark). Interesting look at German aviation activities, to include detailed blueprints from model aircraft. Age/wear and some tears to magazines. Great addition for NSFK/DLV collectors. VG+/Exc. "Saga" Magazine Dated May 1967.
Magazine contains an article by James Atwood which was the first major WWII dagger article ever printed. Features nice color photos of German Third Reich daggers. It is interesting to see a TENO Leader dagger valued at $200.00! Almost impossible to locate. Exc. (20276) $60.
