| Royal
Bulgarian Army Dagger. No maker. Silver-plated hilt
fittings show light surface wear and yellow age patina
to royal crown pommel and lion head crossguard. Obverse
center crossguard features the Bulgarian crest with
a replica of the Bulgarian Military Order for Bravery
on the reverse. There is no damage to the royal crown
pommel and is complete with the cross on top. Medium
yellow celluloid grip shows light surface wear with
a few hairline cracks and is complete with tight twisted
wire wrap. Nickel-plated blade shows light surface wear,
runner marks and one speck of lifting near reverse tip.
Double etched blade features the cypher of King Boris
III (1918-1945) on the obverse with the reverse marked
in Cyrillic letters "ZA NAMI BOGA (GOD IS WITH
US)". Dent-free, steel scabbard with pebbled panels
shows some pitting and graying and features double brass
scabbard bands and rings. Nice! Exc./Exc+ (16499) $1,650. |
