Official Dagger. Alcoso Solingen, 1940-style vertical
ACS, scales TM. Silver-plated hilt fittings show
light surface wear with age patina to the eagle
head pommel, backstrap, ferrule and crossguard,
with portions of factory darkening remaining in
recesses of fittings. Simulated mother-of-pearl
grip plates have age toned to a uniform medium yellow
color and are perfect with no cracks, chips, or
damage. Mirror polished blade grades Exc+/Exc++
showing light surface wear/runner marks with a few
areas of light gray shadowing, but no pitting or
nicks to cutting edges. Blade is complete with original,
faded, blu/green felt blade buffer pad. Silver-plated
scabbard shows light surface wear, one faint depression
to center obverse and some minor surface "pings"
to shell, but no lifting to plating and with nice
detail to the oak leaf suspension bands. NOTE: JRB&M
has not, will not, disassemble this dagger to inspect
for internal markings. Exc+ (24696) $4,750.
