is etched with an E. Pack & Söhne motif
that appears on page 150 of German Etched Dress

showing light surface wear/runner marks with two
tiny "pings" to reverse center spine,
but no lifting or nicks to cutting edge. Obverse
blade features a 5 3/8" long frosted etched
panel with the standard remembrance of service time
inscription, "Zur Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit
beim Inf. - Regt. 11" in raised gothic letters,
flanked on each end by a raised floral and vine
motif. Etched panel retains virtually 100% of the
light gray background finish with superb detail
to the inscription and floral/vine motif. Blade
is complete with brown leather buffer pad. Dent-free
steel scabbard retains approximately 90% of the
original black enamel showing light surface crazing
to obverse/reverse shell and loss of enamel primarily
to left edge of shell and lower ball. Research in
Das Deutsche Heer 1939 indicates that the 11th Infantry
Regiment was garrisoned in Leipzig as part of the
13th Infantry Division. EX+/EX++ (26014) $635.
