     Imperial Boot/Fighting Knife w/Waffen-Amt Stamp. DEMAG DUISBURG in circle TM. See page 13 of "German Military Fighting knives 1914 -1945 for an illusrtation of this pattern knife by DEMAG DUISBURG. Hilt fittings showing virtually no wear consist of a steel tang extension with black enameled wooden grip plates held in position by two metal rivets and a crossguard design of DEMAG's combination bayonet knife crossguard. Polished steel, single-edged blade with a 3 ¼" top false leading edge, measuring 6" in length, grades VG+/EX showing surface wear, shadowing and some sharpening/scratches, but no nicks to cutting edge or damage to blade tip. Blade complete with black leather buffer pad and obverse ricasso is stamped with a crowned Gothic "P" inspection mark. Dent-free steel scabbard retains approximately 60% of the original black enamel showing uniform wear with much loss of paint towards tip. Knife is complete with brown leather belt loop/grip strap in EX condition. VG+/EX (26016) $195.
