Early SA Dagger by RARE Maker. W.K.C. SOLINGEN beneath Knight's helmet TM. Although the WKC Firm was one of the largest producers of Third Reich edged weapons, WKC marked SA Daggers are rarely seen. Nickel-silver hilt fittings show only light yellow age patina with reverse lower crossguard group marked, "" (Schlesien). Dark, reddish-brown, fine-grained wooden grip shows only minor surface wear with no cracks or chips and with superb early quality, grip-to-crossguard fit. Early silver grip eagle and SA insert are properly inset. Early mirror polished blade grades EX++ showing light runner marks and a few tiny gray specks, but nonicks to cutting edges and no damage to blade tip. Deeply etched motto retains 100% of the light gray background frosting. Dent-free, steel scabbard retains approximately 95% of the brown anodization showing surface wear and two tiny spots of oxidation on upper obverse shell. The nickel-silver, non-magnetic scabbard fittings with undamaged screws show light surface wear only with no depressions to the fittings or to the lowerball. Nice early example by RARE SA maker! EX++ (26192) $975. SOLD
