Iron Cross 2nd Class w/Presentation Watch Fob. Quality,
un-marked Cross shows dark, age patina to silver frame and well detailed
border.The Iron center shows light wear/age to with the black enamel
with minor oxidation to to the highlights of the center "W",
but no wear to the Prussian crown, or "1914" date. The cross
is attached to a red/white/black ribbon watch fob with presentation
plaque and silver chain/clip. The presentation plaque is jeweler engraved,
"Hans Weber s. l. Bbr. Heinz Dobke Mai 1923" and stamped
"008" silver. Ribbon shows age and minor fraying. Nice WWI

Iron Cross 2nd Class w/Parade Mount Ribbon. Quality Cross
shows dark, age patina to silver frame with no wear to the black enamel
on the Iron center. Cross is complete with parade mount ribbon without
metal backing, but stitched in parade mount fold. Ribbon shows no
age with no rips, tears, or fraying. Nice display item obtained in

Iron Cross 2nd Class w/Ribbon & Maker-Marked Issue Envelope.
This
superb unmarked Iron Cross in unissued condition was recently obtained
in Germany. Silver frame shows only light surface age patina wear
with 100% of the factory matte black enamel remaining on the Iron
center. The MINT, unused ribbon shows no age or wear. The blue paper
issue envelope shows surface wear/age with a minor soiling to edges
and is stamped on the obverse in Gothic print, "Eisernes Kreuz
2. Klasse 1939" with the reverse envelope maker marked, "Klein
und Quenzer A.G., Idar-Oberstein". Superb example! Near MINT

1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class w/Ribbon & Maker-Marked Issue Envelope.
This superb
unmarked example was recently veteran estate obtained. The silver
frame shows only light surface age patina with 100% of the matte black
enamel remaining on the Iron center. Original ribbon grades MINT showing
no wear or age. Cross is complete with EX++/Near MINT original blue
paper issue envelope showing light age/fading, but no rips or tears.
Obverse envelope is stamped, "Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse 1939"
in black Gothic print with the reverse envelope maker marked, "Jakob
Bengel Oberstein". Superb example! Near MINT (26642) $195.

23mm x 40mm features on the obverse a red enamel cross inside a green
enamel border. Surrounding the cross is the inscription in raised
gothic letters, "Für Treue Dienste Sachs. Landesverein vom
Roten Kreuz" (for faithful service, Saxon Association of the
Red Cross). Reverse badge without enamel decoration is inscribed with
raised gothic letters, "Edel sei der Mensch Hilfreich und Gut"
(man should be noble, helpful, and good). Rare medal. Veteran acquired

Tank Battle Badge in Bronze.The Tank Battle Badge
(Panzerkampfabzeichen) was introduced on 20 December 1940 in silver
only. On 10 June 1940 the badge in bronze was introduced for members
of the Panzer-Grenadier Regiments. This heavy, bronze-plated, unmarked
cast example features superb detail to the oak leaf wreath surrounding
a central motif of a Panzerkampfwagen IV (Pz..Kpfw. IV) with a well
detailed, close-wing Wehrmacht eagle at the upper edge of the wreath.
The badge shows onlyfaint surface wear with virtually 100% of the
frosted bronze finish remaining in on the highlights and in the recesses.
Reverse badge retains virtually 100% of the factory frosting and is
complete with needle style pin. Superb badge recently obtained in

Cased
Third Reich & Croatian Medal/Insignia Grouping Belonging to One
Individual. This cased medal/insignia grouping recently obtained
in Germany includes both German and Croatian medals. As an ally of
Germany, Croatia medals and orders were often awarded to German Armed
Forces personnel. The following medals and insignia are included in
the grouping:
A. 1939 Iron Cross 1st Class. Maker-marked standard issue Cross
grades excellent++ showing light wear/age patina to the silver frame
and reverse with wide flat attaching pin, but no damage to the black
finish on the Iron center. Reverse lower Cross arm is maker-marked
"3" inside a square border (Wilhelm Deumer, Lüdenscheid).

B. Third Reich Medal Bar w/4 Decorations. Decorations include
the 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class, War Merit Cross 2nd Class w/Swords,

virtually 100% of the factory frosting and is complete with needle

E. 1939 Silver Wound Badge. Early heavy quality unmarked badge
shows light surface wear and some darkening to the silver finish on
helmet with swastika, crossed swords, laurel leaf border and pebbled
background. Reverse shows darkening to the frosted finish and is complete

F. Croatian Order of the Crown of King Zvonimir 3rd Class with
"War Decoration" Wreath. White enamel gilt bordered
Cross features a raised gilt crown of King Zvonimir inside a green
enamel "war decoration" wreath with raised gilt trefoil
device on the upper and lower cross arms. The reverse cross features
the motto in gilt letters, "BOG i HRAVTI" (God and the Croats)
with the date, "1076" (date of King Zvonimir's coronation)
on the upper cross arm and, "1941" (the date the award was
instituted) on the lower arm. Cross is attached to a triangular white/red/white
ribbon. Both medal and ribbon grade Near MINT.
G. German Army Shoulder Straps. Slip-on pattern aluminum bullion
straps with two pips for Hauptmann are complete with pink Panzer branch

H. Croat Legion Uniform Sleeve Shield. Fabric shield-shaped
patch features a red & white checkerboard field bordered in black
beneath the inscription in red letters, "HRVATSKA" (Croatia)
on black. Exc++
The above decorations and insignia are complete with an unmarked black
leatherette hinged case with metal corner protectors. The interior
lid is covered in padded dark blue silk with lower fitted portion
covered in blue/black velvet. Exterior case shows minor surface scuffing
with no damage to the interior. Superb cased medal/insignia grouping

Luftwaffe Radio Operator/Air Gunner's Badge
Early,
unmarked, heavy silver example with cutout swastika shows light surface
wear/age patina to the highlights of the oak and laurel leaf wreath
with much factory frosting remaining in the recesses. Well-detailed
eagle clutching lightning bolts shows faint surface wear to highlights
with100% of the factory lacquer/darkening remaining in recesses. Included
in the case is a National Socialist Welfare Organization (NSV) stickpin
maker marked "RZM Ges. Gesch. 76". By the indentation in
the blue flocking it is apparent that the pin has been in the case

Early
Cased Luftwaffe Pilot's Badge.
This
superb "classic" Pilot's Badge by the prestigious C.E. Juncker
Firm is extremely RARE in that it is complete with a matching early
case not one of the more common examples of and early production badge
joined with a later style case. This heavy tombac example referred
to as the "J2" shows only faint wear/age with 98% of the
original finish remaining on the frosted silver wreath and gun-metal
gray eagle with superb detail to the wings and breast feathers. See
Previtera Volume II, page 92 for an identical example. The reverse
features the correct hardware for Juncker specimen with barrel hinge,
flate dome rivets and correct catch. The reverse is correctly stamped,
"C.E. JUNCKER BERLIN SW" with the correct "lazy L".
The correct early, hinged case features dark blue, woven skin material
as manufactured during the 1936 - 1937 period and shows only minor
wear to the corners of the exterior lid which is stamped in gold,
"flugzeugführerabz". The interior lid is lined in padded
blue silk with the lower fitted portion covered in blue velvet. JRB&M
cannot emphasize enough the RARITY of this set, as most early badges
have been joined with later style cases over the years. Nice heavy
Juncker example recently obtained in Germany. EX++ (27017) $3,000.

Luftwaffe
Pilot's Badge.This heavy, non-maker marked example was
recently obtained from an Ohio WWII veteran. Badge shows virtually
no wear to the polished highlights of the oak and laurel leaf wreath
with virtually 100% of the factory lacquer, which has slightly yellowed
with age, remaining on both the obverse and reverse wreath. The well
detailed eagle retains virtually 100% or the factory darkening and
lacquer on both the obverse and reverse and is attached to the wreath
by two rivets with flattened tops as shown on page 71, upper, of Collecting
the Military Badges of the Third Reich by Michael F. Tucker. Badge
is complete with barrel hinged needle style pin and "C"
catch. Both the pin and catch show some bending, but no damage to
solder. Nice veteran acquired, non-maker marked example. EX++/Near

Honor Goblet (Ehrenpokal) & Photograph Grouping belonging to Oakleaves
to the Knight's Cross Recipient Luftwaffe Generalmajor Ludwig Schulz.
This superb grouping was originally obtained in Germany from the family
of the original recipient, Luftwaffe Generalmajor and Oakleaves to
the Knight's Cross recipient Ludwig Schulz. Silver goblet is maker
marked, "Joh.Wagner & Sohn" and silver content marked
with half moon, crown, "835" and stick figure eagle on the
bottom of the goblet whcih shows only light age patina to the pebbled
finish of the bowl with one tiny ding to the lower edge of base, but
no dents or depressions. (24382) $15,500.

Superb grouping
of awards and documents attributed to Luftwaffe Observer Oberfeldwebel
Willy Bradt who was awarded the goblet on "1. 4. 42". Silver-plated
goblet is maker marked, "Joh. Wagner & Sohn Feinsilber Alpaka
Aufllage" on the bottom of the goblet which shows light age patina
to the pebbled finish with no dents or depressions. Award document
has been folded, shows minor age/wear with no rips or tears and has
not been hole punched. Goblet grades Near MINT/MINT with EX+ award
document. Included with the award document is an original copy of
the 2 April 1942 "Ehrenliste Der Deutchen Luftwaffe" citing

This Honor Goblet was awarded to
Luftwaffe Radio Operator (Bordfunker) Unteroffizier Rudi Gemeinhardt
who was awarded the goblet on "16. 7. 42" with the official
notation made in the list of recipients on "20.07.42". Herr
Gemeinhardt was subsequently awarded the German Cross in Gold on "30.11.1942".
Silver-plated goblet is maker marked, "Joh. Wagner & Sohn
Feinsilber Alpaka Aufllage" (fine silver plate edition) on the
bottom of the goblet which shows dark yellow age patina to the pebbled

Honor Goblet (Ehrenpokal). This superb example, recently obtained
in Germany was awarded to Luftwaffe Pilot Oberfeldwebel Erwin Bun(c)k
on 06 June 1942 with the official notation made in the list of recipients
on 15 July 1942. Herr Bun(c)k was subsequently awarded the German
Cross in Gold on 15 March 1943. Documentation of the awards is included
with the Honor Goblet. A photocopy of Herr Bun(c)k listing as a recipient
of the Ehrenpokal is included with the Honor Goblet. Silver-plated
goblet is maker marked, "Joh. Wagner & Sohn Feinsilber Alpaka
Auflage" (fine silver plate edition) on the bottom of the Goblet
bowl which shows overall light age patina to the pebbled finish, with
no dents or depressions. The obverse of the bowl shows two eagles
in aerial combat, while the reverse bears the 1939 Iron Cross. Both
of these designs, as well as the oak leaves on the stem of the base
are in repoussé relief. On a plain band below the oak leaves
are the recipient's name, rank and date of award, "Oberfeldwebel
Erwin Bun(c)k am 6.6.42.". Around the circumference of the base
in repoussé relief are the words, "Für Besonder Leistung
im Luftkrieg" (For Outstanding Achievement in the Air War). Superb

Honor Goblet (Ehrenpokal). This superb uncleaned example was recently
obtained in Germany from the from the family of the recipient Luftwaffe
Bordschütze, Unteroffizier Willi Kähler who was awarded
the goblet on 31 October 1942 with the official notation made in the
list of recipients on 11 November 1942. A photocopy of Herr Kähler's
listing as a recipient of the Ehrenpokal is included with the Honor
Goblet. Silver-plated goblet is maker marked, "Joh. Wagner &
Sohn Feinsilber Alpaka Auflage" (fine silver plate edition) on
the bottom of the Goblet bowl which shows overall dark, age patina
to the pebbled finish, with no dents or depressions. The obverse of
the bowl shows two eagles in aerial combat, while the reverse bears
the 1939 Iron Cross. Both of these designs, as well as the oak leaves
on the stem of the base are in repoussé relief. On a plain
band below the oak leaves are the recipient's name, rank and date
of award, "Unteroffizier Willi Kähler am 31.10. 42".
Around the circumference of the base in repoussé relief are

Honor Goblet (Ehrenpokal), Medal, Award Document, and Photograph Grouping.
This superb grouping was recently obtained in Germany from the
family of the original recipient, Luftwaffe Aerial Gunner Unteroffizier
Gerhard Richter who was awarded the goblet on "6. Oktober 1942"
with the official notation made in the list of recipients on "12.10.42".
Herr Richter was subsequently awarded the German Cross in Gold on
"17. Mai 1943" with the official notation made in the list
of recipients on "26.07.1943". Photocopies of Herr Richter's
listing as a recipient of both the Pokal and the German Cross in Gold
are included with the grouping. Silver-plated goblet is maker marked,
"Joh. Wagner & Sohn Feinsilber Alpaka Aufllage" (fine
silver plate edition) on the bottom of the goblet which shows dark
gun metal blue patina to the pebbled finish with no dents or depressions.
Obverse of the bowl shows two eagles in aerial combat while the reverse
bears the 1939 Iron Cross. Both of these designs as well as the oak
leaves on the stem of the base are in repoussé relief. On the
plain band below the oak leaf is the recipient's name, rank, and date
of award, "Unteroffizier Gerhard Richter am 6.10.42". Around
the circumference of the base in repoussé relief are the words,
"Für Besonder Leistung im Luftkrieg" (For Outstanding
Achievement in the Air War). Included with the goblet is the original
award document dated "6. Oktober 1942" and complete with
facsimile of Göring's signature and hand-signed signature of
the Chief of the Luftwaffe Personnel Office. Award document shows
minor age/wear with no rips or tears and has not been folded nor hole
punched.
Goblet grades Near MINT/MINT with excellent++ award document. (22850)

A. Medals/Awards w/Award Document.
a. German Cross in Gold w/Award Document. German Cross maker marked,
"20" (C.F. Zimmermann, Pforzheim) grades excellent++ showing
surface wear to ribs of star plate with minor surface wear and one
tiny nick to swastika enamel. Swastika background plate and reverse
cross with wide flat pin shows dark age patina. Large 13 7/8"
x 9 ¾" ivory colored document is dated "17. Mai 1943"
and is complete with facsimile Göring signature and Reichsmarschall
embossed stamp. Document has been folded, hole punched, and shows
light surface wear with several small tears along edges.
b. 1939 Iron Cross 1st Class w/Award Document. Unmarked standard
issue Cross grades excellent+/excellent++ showing dark age patina
to silver frame, reverse cross and wide pin with no damage to the
black enamel center. Award document dated "20. Mai 1942"
is complete with hand-signed signature of Generaloberst Keller "Der
Chef der Luftflotte 1 und Befehlshaber Ost" and ink stamped.
Document shows only light age with no rips or tears and has not been
folded.
c. 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class w/Award Document. Cross shows only
a few specks of age patina and much factory lacquer remaining to the
silver frame with only minor wear to the enamel on the arms of the
swastika. Cross is complete with ribbon showing only minor age. Award
document dated "27. Sept. 1940" is hand-signed by General
der Flieger Loerzer "Der Kommandierende General des II. Flieger-Korps"
and ink stamped. Document shows only faint age with no rips or tears
and has not been folded.
d. Luftwaffe Bomber Operational Flying Clasp in Gold with Pendant
and Award Document. Heavy unmarked example retains virtually 100%
of the gilting to the laurel leaf wreath and oak leaf sprigs with
only minor wear to the reverse. Winged bomb inside oak leaf wreath
shows only light wear to highlights with factory darkening remaining
in the recesses. Badge is complete with wide flat pin and grades Near
MINT. Award document is dated "31. Mai 1942" and signed
by a Major and "Kommodore Kamfgeschwader Hindenburg 1" and
ink stamped. Attached to the lower edge of the wreath is the operational
mission pendant complete with a tight interim award document for the
pendant dated "12.10.1944" and signed by a "Hauptmann
und Gruppenkommandeur" and ink stamped.
e. Russian Front Medal w/Issue Envelope and Award Document. Medal
shows light oxidation to the gray factory finish with virtually no
wear or age to ribbon. Light brown paper envelope is stamped in black
on the obverse, "Medaille Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/1942"
(Ostmedaille). Award document dated "6.8. 1942" is hand-signed
by a "Oberstleutnant und Kommodore des Kamfgeschwader 3."
and ink stamped. Document shows only minor age with one crimped corner
and has not been folded or hole-punched.

a. Luftwaffe Bomber Operational Flying Clasp in Silver Award
Document. Award document is dated "26.4.1942" and hand-signed
by a Generalmajor u. Kommodore des Kampfgeschwader Hindenburg 1"
and ink stamped. Document shows virtually no age, has not been folded
nor hole-punched.
b. Luftwaffe Bomber Operational Flying Clasp in Bronze Award Document.
Award document is dated "25.8.1941" and hand-signed
by Oberst und Kommodore des Kampfgeschwader 3." and ink stamped.
Document shows virtually no wear, has not been folded nor hole-punched.
c. Luftwaffe Aerial Gunner's Badge Qualification Document. Document
is dated "8.Oktober 1940" with facsimile signature of Generalleutnant
"Der Chef des Luftwaffenpersonalants". Document shows minor
age/wear and has been folded but with no rips or tears.
d. Wound Badge in Black Interim Award Document. Interim typed
award document dated "17.7.1942" is hand-signed by Major
und Gruppenkommandeur." and ink stamped. Document shows minor
age/wear primarily to corners but has not bee folded.
e. Promotion Document to Feldwebel. Document dated "1.
August 1943" is hand-signed by Major und Gruppenkommandeur"
and ink stamped. Document shows minor age with no rips or tears and
has not been folded.
f. Luftwaffe Combat Mission Photograph. Black & white photograph

Germany from the family of the recipient, Luftwaffe Radio Operator

frame with 100% of black finish remaining on Iron center. Suspension

remains on silver frame, unmarked reverse Cross, screwback plate,

4. Narvik Battle Shield. Silver example shows light wear to
dark factory finish on the elongated shield which features a raised
Edelweiss above a crossed propeller/anchor flanked by the date, "1940"
and the designation, "Narvik" surmounted by the Wehrmacht
eagle. Shield is the type without backing, but with two small holes
in the top corners of the shield, and one hole at the bottom tip through
which the shield was stitched to the upper left arm of the tunic.

5. Luftwaffe Radio/Air Gunner's Badge. Heavy, quality example
shows superb detail to the silver wreath which shows dark age patina
to the highlights with 100% of the factory frosting remaining in the
recesses. Factory darkened eagle shows surface wear on the highlights
of the shoulder and wing tips with 100% of the factory darkening remaining
in the recesses. Reverse wreath shows age patina with much frosting
remaining, with the eagle attached to the wreath by two domed rivets.

9. M-1937 DRL Sports Badge in Bronze. This example shows virtually
no wear to the bronze plating on the oak leaf wreath with swastika,
or the intertwined initials, "DRL". Reverse badge retains
100% of the plating, is maker marked, "Wernstein Jena" and

B. Presentation Plaque. Black wooden base measuring 9 7/8"
wide x 13 5/8" long features a large silver metal eagle perched
atop an oak leaf sprig clutching a group of lightning bolts. Beneath
the eagle is a silver presentation plate jeweler engraved, "Gewidmet
v. d. Bordfunkern d. 5. (K) L. G.1" (presented by the Radio Operators/Air
Gunners of Company 5 Luftgau 1). Plaque shows only light wear/age.

Photograph Grouping. Grouping consists of the following small
black & white photographs.
1. Heinkel 111 Medium Bomber in Flight with Handwritten Notation on
Reverse, "Dübner"
2. 3-Man flight crew inside HE111 wearing flight helmets/suits &
parachutes with "X" over Herr Dübner.
3. Herr Dübner inside HE1111 wearing flight helmet/suit &
parachute. Clearly visible are the three "wings" on the
upper sleeve of his flight suit indicating his then rank of Feldwebel.
Reverse of photograph has the handwritten notation, "Vati"
(Daddy), possibly indicating Herr Dübner was the "old man"
of the crew.
4. High-ranking portly Officer in leather great coat accompanied by
several Luftwaffe Officers. Reverse has the handwritten notation,
"Göring".
Superb early Honor Goblet obtained directly from the family of the

Luftwaffe
Honor Goblet (Ehrenpokal) Award Document Grouping. These award
documents were recently obtained in Germany from the family of Honor
Goblet recipient Luftwaffe Observer Feldwebel and later Oberleutnant
Walter Sievers, who was awarded the Goblet on 21 December 1942 with
the official notation made in the list of recipients of 04 January
1943. Among the items in the grouping is a unique and interesting
document dated 12 July 1945 (two months after Germany surrounded)
stating that Oberleutnant Walter Sievers, who was born on 24 December
1916 in Cuxhaven, is in possession of: the Operational Flying Clasp
in Bronze, Silver, and Gold; the Iron Cross 1st & 2nd; the East
medal; the Wound Badge in black; the Observer's Badge; and the Ehrenpokal.
The document is hand signed by the Battalion Commander and is complete
with an official Feldpost stamp complete with the eagle, but with
the swastika removed. Apparently, the occupying powers allowed the
German Armed Forces to complete administrative actions on all
personnel being released from active service. The following award
documents are included in the grouping: (21748) $2,850.

features a hand signed signature by a Hauptmann and is complete with
official stamp. Document shows age with one minor tear and has been

H. Service Recognition Document. Ivory-colored document measuring
11 ¾" x 8 ¼" features the Unit insignia of
Kampfgeschwader "Hindenberg" and is awarded to Ltn. Walter
Sievers in remembrance of his service time with Kampfgeschwader "Hindenberg"
1 from "30.9.1942" to "13.7.1944". Document is
complete with hand signed signature and official stamp. Document shows

I. Photograph Grouping. Grouping includes eight 8 ¾"
x 6 ¾" photographs, complete with the signature of the
photographer and the date of photograph. In addition, there are two
black & white photographs of a lesser condition, but also appear
to be made by an official Luftwaffe photographer. Most of the photographs
are of winter scenes on the Eastern Front.

Honor Goblet (Ehrenpokal)This
superb uncleaned example was recently obtained in Germany from the
from the family of the recipient Luftwaffe Pilot, Feldwebel Karl-Theodor
Zörnsch who was awarded the goblet on 20 August 1942 with the
official notation made in the list of recipients on 31 August 1942.
A photocopy of Herr Zörnsch's listing as a recipient of the Ehrenpokal
is included with the Honor Goblet. Silver-plated goblet is maker marked,
"Joh. Wagner & Sohn Feinsilber Alpaka Auflage" (fine
silver plate edition) on the bottom of the Goblet bowl which shows
overall dark age patina to the pebbled finish, with no dents or depressions.
The obverse of the bowl shows two eagles in aerial combat, while the
reverse bears the 1939 Iron Cross. Both of these designs, as well
as the oak leaves on the stem of the base are in repoussé relief.
On a plain band below the oak leaves are the recipient's name, rank
and date of award, "Feldwebel Karl-Theodor Zörnsch am 20.
8. 42." Around the circumference of the base in repoussé
relief are the words, "Für Besonder Leistung im Luftkrieg"
(For Outstanding Achievement in the Air War). Superb Ehrenpokal obtained

estate obtained in Germany. Clasp retains virtually 100% of the factory

silver finish remaining in the recesses. Factory darkened stylized
downward pointing winged bomb inside the laurel leaf wreath shows

Combat Clasp in Silver. This heavy, maker-marked, late-war, silver-plate
over gray metal, cast example was recently obtained from the estate
of Virginia WWII veteran, Sam Hinkle, Jr. who brought this badge,
along with other items, back from Germany as war booty. The badge
shows light age with wear to silver finish on the superbly-detailed
crossed bayonet/hand grenade and eagle/swastika motif with flanking
oak leaves and ribbed design. The badge is without the black backing
plate and there is no evidence that a plate was ever present. Reverse

The frosted gold cross with, center black enamel swastika grades

red leatherette. Exterior lid features an impressed, gilt number "40"

Faithful Service Decoration 1st Class (40-Years Service).
The gold cross with, center black
enamel swastika grades Near MINT/MINT showing virtually no wear/age
to the cross or cornflower blue ribbon. Red leatherette, two-piece
case grades EX++ showing only minor wear, with a few tiny scuffs,
but no rips or tears to the red leatherette. Exterior lid features
an impressed, gilt number "40" surrounded by a gilt oak
leaf border. Interior lid of case is covered in padded white satin
with the lower fitted portion of the case covered in burgundy flocking.
The 1st Class Cross is normally found in a hinged case, however the
lid of this two-piece case shows no sign of ever having been hinged.

Frosted silver Cross with black enamel swastika and cornflower blue
ribbon shows no wear to the frosting, with no damage to the swastika
enamel, nor age to the ribbon. Red cardboard case with burgundy flocked
interior shows only light surface wear and is embossed in silver with
the number "25" within a cogwheel on the exterior lid. Near

Cased
Non-Portable Award from the City of Solingen.
Although undated, this award is obviously quite old from its appearance.
Large leather case measures 6 1/2" square and approximately l"
in height. Inside is green velvet, fitted for the large presentation
medallion which appears to be made of steel and measures approximately
4" across. On the award is written, "PREISDERSTADT" and
has the raised city seal of Solingen with small, crossed swords running
down each side of the medallion. Below the shield is, "SOLINGEN".
Snap on front of case is slightly damaged. Bottom of case has a green
cloth which shows some mothing. Rare, cased city award! Exc. (12932)

Commemorative Medal of 13 March 1938.
The round medal grades Near MINT showing minor age to the matte-silver
finish on the obverse which depicts the ethnic Germans breaking the
chains of Austrian bondage and carrying the banner of National Socialism
above an open-wing eagle and swastika. The matte-silver reverse features
the raised inscription, "Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein Führer"
around the outer edge with "13. März 1938" in the center.
The medal is attached to a red ribbon w/white/black/white outer stripes
complete with attaching pin. The ribbon shows minor age. Near MINT

1939
Iron Cross/Wound Badge in Silver Stickpin. This quality unmarked
stickpin was recently obtained in Germany from the family of the original
recipient, Luftwaffe Radio Operator (Bordfunker) Unteroffizier Rudi
Gemeinhardt. The stickpin shows superb detail to the both the Iron
Cross and Wound Badge with minor wear to the swastika and date on
the cross and much background frosting remaining on the Wound Badge.
Reverse retains much of the silver frosting and is complete with proper
serrated pin showing light age patina. EX++ (25680) $135.

unmarked stickpin was recently obtained in Germany from the family

Nürburg - Ring Eröffnungsjahr 1927 Commemorative
Stickpin. Round, cast, gold colored metal, stick pin measuring
1" in diameter features a raised motif of a race car and motorcycle
speeding along the famous Nürburg - Ring racetrack beneath the
raised outline of the Quiddelbacherhöhe. The raised border is
inscribed, Nürburg - Ring Eröffnungsjahr 1927 (Nürburg
- Ring Innaugural Year 1927). Unmarked reverse is complete with attaching
pin. Minor age to gold factory finish, minor bending to pin. RARE
pin commemorating the opening of one of the most famous automobile

measuring 35mm x 24mm features on the obverse a silver swastika surmounted
by silver clasped hands on a red enamel background. Above and below
the hands is the inscription, "Deine Hand Dem Handwerk"
(Your hand/Your handwork) in silver Gothic letters. Reverse badge
is complete w/attaching pin & maker-marked, "GB´ (possibly
Gustav Brehmer, Markneukirchen). Obverse badge shows light age patina
to silver motif & letters, but no cracks to enamel w/dark age

Commemorative. Round, cast aluminum, bronze colored medal, measuring
1-11/16" in diameter features a raised motif of a wooded, mountain
landscape above the 180? bend in the Saar River at Ludowinuswald Park
NW of Metzig-am-Saar. Raised border is inscribed, "Für Deutschlands
Stärke u. Sicherheit im Westen" (For Germany's Strength
and Security in the West) with a crossed sword & spade at the
lower edge of the border. Unmarked reverse is inscribed with the 5-line
inscription that translates as, "Presented by the Merzig-Saar
Office/of the General Contractor/C. Kellenbach-Berlin/Construction
Company". Medal shows wear to finish on outer edge with virtually
100% of the bronze factory finish remaining on the obverse/reverse.
RARE medal probably presented to company employees involved in the

Reichsmesse
Leipzig Herbst 1941 Commemorative. Cast gray metal badge measuring
9 1/6" wide x 2" long shows light age and features a double
"M" logo on the left end with a central panel inset with simulated
mother-of-pearl surrounded by the raised inscription, "Reichsmesse
Leipzig Herbst 1941" (State Fair Leipzig Fall 1941). Reverse badge
is complete with attaching pin and features the raised inscription,
"Frühjahrs Messe 1942 Beginn 1.Marz" (Spring Fair 1942
begins 1 March). Apparently, the reverse inscription was to advertise
the upcoming Spring event in Leipzig. Reverse badge is also stamped
with the serial/control number, "62096." Unique style commemorative,
superb detail, and no damage to the rarely seen simulated mother-of-pearl.

An illustration of this pin appears on page 171 of Katalog der
Abzeichen Deutscher Organization 1871-1945 by Andre Husken. This gilt
pin, worn by employees and workers of the Luftwaffe features a 2nd
style Luftwaffe eagle. The eagle with a 27mm wingspan shows minor
age to the highlights with 100% of the factory giltingremaining in
the recesses. The reverse eagle shows one spot of age and is complete

Oldenburger
Krieger-Bund (Veteran's Association) Commemorative Badge. Stamped,
gilted brass, badge measuring 30mm x 35mm features a Crowned, Gothic
"P " atop crossed swords within an oak leaf wreath. This
same "Crowned Gothic "P" was used on the epaulettes
of the 91st Infantry (Oldenburger) Regiment of the Imperial German
Army. At the bottom of the wreath is a band inscribed in raised letters,
"Oldenburger Krieger-Bund". The reverse badge is complete
with attaching pin. Badge shows minor wear to highlights with gold

Stickpin. Silver
and enamel, shield shaped pin measuring 1.5mm side X 1.8mm in length
features a black enamel NS-RKB Iron Cross/swastika on a red enamel
background within a silver outer border. Reverse shield is marked,
"Ges.Gesch." and is complete with correct serrated pin.
Enamel is perfect with no cracks or chips and silver shows dark age

Hamburg 1928 Stickpin. Antique silver medal badge measuring 1 1/8"
x 1 1/8" with central motif of the Hamburg Veteran's Memorial flanked
by the date, "1928" inside a diamond-shaped border inscribed,
"Reichsfrontsoldatentag Hamburg". Badge is without the stickpin
style attaching device. See page 238, upper, of Headgear of Hitler's
Germany by Hill Halcomb-Smith and Wilhelm Saris for a photograph of

measuring 1 3/8" in diameter features a stamped, gold-filled
facsimile of a castle with turret bordered by the gold-filled, circular

(Viersen-Kempen is located approximately 30km West of Dusseldorf).

badge measuring 1 ½" in diameter shows minor wear to the
raised profile of Mussolini in an Italian Army helmet bordered by
the inscription, "CREDERE - OBBEDIRE - COMBATTERE - G.I.L."
(To Belive - To Obey - To Fight - in stylized block letters. "G.I.L."
is the abbreviation for, Gioventu Italiano Del Littorio, Fascist Youth
of the Lictors (Lictors is the Roman symbol of the magistrates). The
reverse showing minor wear/age is marked in raised letters, "MODELLO
