White Johann Haviland Porcelain
Luftwaffe (NCO School) Serving Platter. This
unadorned oval, white porcelain platter measuring
40.7cm long X 26.7cm wide (16" X 10")
features a 4.5cm wide raised border surrounding
the central serving surface. Underside of platter
is maker marked, "Johann Haviland Bavaria"
surrounding a crowned "R" in green letters.
In the center of the underside, in black, is a facsimile
of a Luftwaffe eagle with swastika above "1938".
Flanking the swastika is the inscription, "Fl."
and "U.V." (Flieger Unteroffizier Verein)
(Flyer's NCO Club). Platter grades Near MINT showing
only minor surface wear with no cracks or chips
and no damage to the glazing. Nice Luftwaffe porcelain
artifact recently obtained in Germany. Near MINT
