Infantry Regimental Porcelain Commemorative Plate.
This superb Meissen commemorative plate was recently
obtained in Germany from the grandson of the original
owner, a WWI German Army veteran. Plate commemorates
the 1914-1918 wartime campaign service of Reserve
Infanterie Regiment 261. Research in the Histories
of the German Army indicates this Regiment was assigned
to the 79th Reserve Division and participated in the
campaigns in East Prussia, Russia, France and Flanders.
White porcelain plate measuring 10" in diameter
features fired blue design on obverse with the Meissen
crossed swords TM in blue on the reverse. Obverse
blue design features the central motif of a Garde
Star with a circular Regimental border flanked by
oak and laurel leaves above a facsimile of the Pour
le Mérite (Blue Max). The outer edge of the
plate features a blue border bearing the campaign
service of the Regiment: "Masuren", "Kowno",
"Vimy", "Cambrai", "Parvillers"
and "Flandern". Photocopies of the 79th
Reserve Division's campaign history is included with
the plate. Superb veteran acquired Meissen commemorative

Personalized
Imperial Navy Pottery Stein. This 4 ½"
tall, ½ liter pottery stein shows only light
age with no cracks, chips, or damage. Front center
of stein features a 2 ½" x 4" hand-painted
facsimile of the Imperial Navy Ensign (flag) flying
from a staff displaying a superbly detailed Imperial
eagle in center of Ensign. Beneath the Ensign is the
inscription, "Wilhelmshaven" in black letters.
Plain pewter lid shows age patina and is jeweler engraved
in shaded block letters, "AJ." Nice Imperial
Navy stein with rare hand-painted design. Exc++/Near

Luftwaffe
Silver-Plated Flatware. This RARE flatware
was found at a British Kaserne in northern Germany
where it had been in use for many years. The fruit
fork and spoon are marked on the reverse handle,
"VSF-90"; and the dessert knife is marked
one the reverse handle, "90" with blade
marked, "W" above "Nicht Rostend".
All handles feature an outstanding early droop-tail
Luftwaffe eagle and swastika in VERY HIGH relief.
Flatware shows light surface wear/age with some
loss of silver plating to underside of the spoon
bowl. Great accent item for a Luftwaffe collector!

RARE
Luftwaffe Fliegerhorst "Staaken" Silver-Plated
Dessert Spoon. This
RARE spoon was purchased in Germany as part of collection
of Luftwaffe flatware. The dessert spoon is marked
on the reverse handle, "21" over "90"
and "Krupp Berndorf". The reverse handle
is personalized, "Staaken" in jeweler
script. Obverse handle features a well-detailed,
incised, 2nd pattern Luftwaffe eagle and swastika.
Staaken is located approximately 17km west of central
Berlin and was the location of a Luftwaffe Air Base
(Fliegerhorst). Spoon shows light surface wear/age
with some loss of silver plating to underside of
the spoon bowl and adjacent to the Staaken personalization.
Great accent item for a Luftwaffe collector! EX/EX+

Third Reich Artillery Regimental Commemorative Stein.
A photograph of this pattern stein appears as
item Nr. 181on page 58 of German Military Steins
1914 - 1945 (Copyright 1996) by Gary Kirsner. This
"1/2L" 10 faceted cut glass stein measuring
12cm in height and 32cm in diameter grades EX++
showing light surface wear with no cracks, chips
or stains. The domed pewter lid features an engraved
facsimile of a 10.5cm Light Field Howitzer M16 with
two man crew. Above the howitzer is the inscription
"Weihnachten 1935" (Christmas 1935) with
"u. Stab II./.ArtR.17." (2nd Battalion
Staff/Artillery Regiment 17). The 2nd Battalion,
Artillery Regiment 17 was garrisoned at Erlangen
prior to WWII and fought on both the Eastern and
Western fronts. The lip of the lid is engraved with
the name, "Kan. Hollfelder" (Cannoneer
Hollfelder). Peweter lid shows only light age patina
with no cracks and is complete with thumb lift showing
no damage to the thumb lift hinge. The bottom of
the stein is marked with a royal crown inscribed

Foreign
Minister Joachim von Ribbentrop Silver Flatware.
A photograph of these patterns of flatware appears
on page 97, lower left, of Treasure Trove by Chase
Haddock and MAJ (USAF) Ret. Charles E. Snyder, Jr.
Two different patterns of flatware are available
and both feature a raised Reich eagle and swastika
on the obverse upper portion of the handle. Eagle
and swastika are the same type as used on the formal
pattern AH flatware, but without the AH monogram
beneath the wings of the eagle. These flatware pieces
may have been used by Hitler and by von Ribbentrop
as a special setting for Foreign Ministry/Diplomatic
dinners or functions. (21012)

Cased Eickhorn Stainless Steel
Flatware (Besteck) Set. The four-piece
place setting consists of six-each dinner forks,
dinner spoons, coffee spoons and dinner knives.
The set is complete with the original pear wood,
hinged storage case with the exterior/interior lid
stamped with the Eickhorn over-the shoulder squirrel
above "Eickhorn Besteck" and the exterior
sides stamped, "Original Eickhorn". The
interior to the case features five sections covered
in blue felt and stamped, "Original Eickhorn"
