  M-1937 Third Reich National War Flag (Reichskriegsflagge). This pattern flag was considered the Ensign of the German Armed Forces (Wehrmacht) and was used by the Army, Navy and Air Force and flown from buildings as well as warships of the Navy. Single construction flag measuring 80cm X 135cm is constructed of linen weave cotton in the form of a red rectangular body with white off-centered disc bordered in black and containing a black swastika standing on edge. Extending from the white disc to the four edges of the flag are black horizontal and vertical cross arms made of four white and three black portions. In the upper left corner, adjacent to the pole hem, is a black Iron Cross bordered in black/white. Flag is complete with a white cotton pole hem stamped in black on the upper reverse, "Navy mark eagle over M" and "R.Kr.Fl. 80x135" with the lower reverse stamped "G.A.Fröhlichs Sohn A.G.Warnsdorf.Sud." Pole hem is complete with woven cotton rope halyard loops. The flag shows a few minor age spots only with no wear, age or soiling and appears to have never been used. Superb original flag.
