Early RAD EM Hewer w/Early Pattern Hanger. Böker,
early tree within double-oval TM. Early solid-nickel
hilt fittings show light surface wear with some
"pecking" to spine and pommel with obverse
ferrule personalized with the jeweler-engraved initials,
"KK" in shaded Gothic letters which show
surface wear to detail. Light brown stag grip plates
are perfect with light age toning, but no cracks,
chips, or damage. Early plated blade grades Exc.
showing surface wear/runner marks and three tiny
nicks to the cutting edge, but no pitting. Deeply-etched
motto shows surface wear to the motto background
frosting with reverse blade stamped with the RAD
triangle and "Ges.Gesch". Steel scabbard
shows surface wear to the black enamel with a minor
surface depression to the center obverse/reverse
shell. Nickel scabbard fittings show surface wear/some
age spotting with portions of factory darkening
remaining in the recesses of the decorative scroll
work and RAD spade/wheat symbol on the scabbard
fittings. Lower fitting shows several minor depressions
and scabbard fittings are complete with all four
retaining screws. Early hanger grades Exc. consists
of a black leather belt loop with nickel-plated
clip attached to a nickel-plated suspension clip.
Both clips are "Assmann/A&S" and "RAD"
marked on the reverse. A photograph of this early
