RAD EM Hewer w/Hanger. Carl Eickhorn, deeply etched Squirrel-holding-sword TM. Solid nickel hilt fittings show only light surface wear with no damage to the satin finish on the pommel or crossguard, with portions of factory frosting remaining in the recesses of the crossguard detail. Dark brown stag horn grip plates show light age toning but no chips or cracks. Polished blade grades EX+/EX++ showing light surface wear/runner marks and some minor gray shadowing, but no nicks to cutting edge. Deeply etched motto retains 100% of the dark gray background frosting with reverse marked with the RAD diamond and "Ges.Gesch.". Dent-free steel scabbard retains approximately 95% of the original black enamel showing minor surface crazing and light specks of missing paint primarily to the reverse shell. Dent-free, nickel-plated scabbard fittings show faint surface wear with much factory frosting remaining, and no damage to the scroll-work on the upper fitting or the wheat and spade motif on the lower fitting. All four, undamaged scabbard screws are present. Black leather hanger w/belt loop grades EX++ showing minor wear to leather and some loss of color to bealt loop, but no rips or tears. Both the belt loop and hanger metal fittings are marked with the Assmann "A", "A&S"and "RAD Nice RAD Diamond and "36". Nice RAD Hewer combination recently obtained in Germany. EX++ (25408) $2,150.
