 RAD EM Hewer w/Hanger/Belt Loop. Carl Julius Krebs Solingen, Crown over "K" within double-oval TM. Early silver-plated hilt fittings show minor surface wear with light wear/age patina, but no lifting or speckling and with virtually 100% of the factory darkening remaining in detail of crossguard. Very dark brown stag horn grip plates show light age toning, but no chips or cracks. Polished blade grades EX+ showing light surface wear/runner marks, minor gray shadowing and some gray spotting to obverse/reverse edges and spine, but no nicks to cutting edge. Deeply etched motto retains 100% of the light gray background frosting and reverse is marked with the RAD diamond and "Ges.Gesch.". Dent-free steel scabbard retains approximately 90% of the original black enamel showing minor surface wear and missing paint primarily to the right edge of shell. Silver-plated scabbard fittings show surface wear/minor age patina with much of the factory darkening in the recesses of the scroll-work on the upper fitting and wheat and spade motif on the lower fitting. The underside of the lower fitting has three minor depressions, but no splits, an all four retaining screws are present. Black leather hanger w/belt loop grades EX+/EX++ showing minor wear/heat crazing to patent leather finish. Reverse of lower clip and belt loop clip are "Assmann/A&S" and "RAD diamond/37" marked. Nice RAD Hewer combination recently obtained in Germany. EX+/EX++ (25914) $1,795. Sold
