Early RAD EM Hewer. Böker, Solingen
tree inside small double oval TM. Early silver-plated
hilt fittings show light surface wear with dark
age patina but no crazing or lifting and with much
of the factory darkening remaining in the detail
of the crossguard. Medium brown stag horn grip plates
are perfect with no cracks or chips and are complete
with nickel-silver retaining screws. Polished blade
grades excellent+ showing light surface wear/runner
marks with some light gray shadowing and two minor
nicks to the lower cutting edge. Reverse ricasso
is stamped with the RAD marking inside triangle
and "Ges.Gesch". Dent-free steel scabbard
retains approximately 98% of the factory black enamel
showing some minor crazing to the obverse and two
faint scratches on the reverse. Early silver-plated
scabbard fittings show age patina with much of the
factory darkening remaining in the detailed scroll
work of the upper fitting and the RAD emblem on
the lower fitting. Underside of lower fitting has
several surface depressions but no major damage.
