1st Model RLB Officer's Dagger.
Paul Weyersberg, sword/wreath within double-oval
TM. Early nickel-silver fittings show light surface
wear/age patina to the domed pommel as well as the
stylized RLB pattern eagle on the obverse crossguard.
The top of the pommes has one small depression and
tip of left crossguard quillon Waffen-Amt stamped.
Black leather grip shows virtually no surface wear
with no scuffs, rips, tears or damage to the leather
seam. RLB silver sunburst shows surface wear to
plating with virtually no damage to the blue enamel
RLB logo and is properly pinned to the obverse grip.
Plated blade grades EX+/EX++ showing light surface
wear/runner marks with minor gray shadowing/speckling,
but no pitting, or nicks to cutting edges. Blade
is complete with black leather buffer pad. Black
leather covered scabbard shows virtually no wear
with no scuffs, rips, tears, or damage to the leather
seam. Dent-free, nickel-silver scabbard fittings
show light surface wear/age patina and are complete
with all four scabbard screws which are undamaged.
Scabbard throat is Waffen-Amt stamped. The integral
black leather hanger has been lost to time. Nice
early 1st Model RLB Officer's dagger. EX+/EX++ (25508)
