1st Model RLB Officer's Dagger w/RARE Dark Blue Leather Grip & Scabbard.Paul Weyersberg, sword inside wreath double-oval TM. Early nickel-silver fittings show light surface wear/age patina to the pommel and crossguard with stylized RLB pattern eagle on the obverse. Left crossguard quillon is Waffen-Amt stamped. Dark blue covered leather grip is perfect with no depressions, scuffs, rips, or tears nor damage to the leather seam. RLB silver sunburst shows virtually no surface wear with no chips to the blue enameled RLB logo, and is properly pinned to the obverse grip. Plated blade grades EX/EX+ showing light surface wear/runner marks with uniform gray shadowing, but no pitting, or nicks to cutting edges and no damage to tip. Blade is complete with dark blue leather buffer pad. Dark blue leather covered scabbard shows faint surface wear, but no rips, tears, or damage to the leather seam. Dent-free nickel-silver scabbard fittings show light surface wear/age patina only and are complete with all four undamaged headless retaining screws. Scabbard throat is Waffen-Amt stamped. Scabbard is complete with integral black leather hanger which shows only minor wear and is complete with nickel-silver hanger retaining planchet and early Assmann/DRGM marked nickel-silver clip. This dagger was recently obtained is Germany and is one of the few dark blue leather covered examples JRB&M has handled over the years. EX++ (25779) $5,595. SOLD
