SA Ground Röhm Dagger w/3-Piece Hanger. Carl
Eickhorn, squirrel within small double oval TM. Nickel-silver
hilt fittings show light surface wear/age with reverse
lower crossguard group marked, "Fr" (Franken).
Dark, reddish-brown, fine grained wooden grip shows
light surface wear with no cracks or chips and with
silver eagle and SA insert properly inset. Polished
blade grades EX+EX++ showing light surface wear/runner
marks only with some faint hazing as a result of the
removal of the Röhm inscription, but no pitting
or nicks to cutting edge. Deeply etched motto retains
100% of the light gray background frosting. Reverse
Röhm inscription has been completely factory
removed with only the lower right tip of the "m"
in Röhm remaining, but no damage to the Eickhorn
trademark. Dent-free steel scabbard shows light surface
wear/minor crazing to the brown anodization with portions
of factory lacquer remaining adjacent to fittings.
Nickel-silver scabbard fittings show light surface
wear/age patina with a depression/tiny split to the
underside of the lower ball. Dagger is complete with
an EX+ brown leather 3-piece hanger showing light
wear to leather and to the early nickel-silver buckle
and unmarked clip. EX+/EX++ (23865) $895.
