Early SA Dagger by RARE Maker w/Hanger. RARE Herbertz & Meurer, Solingen - Gr., "M" over "H" within double-oval TM. Uncleaned nickel-silver hilt fittings show surface wear and age patina with reverse lower crossguard SA Group marked, "He" (Hessen). Medium brown, fine-grained grip is perfect with no cracks, chips or depressions, and with silver eagle and SA insert properly inset. Polished blade grades EX+ light surface wear/runner marks and some gray speckling/spotting primarily where runners have rested against flats of the blade. Deeply etched motto retains 100% of the light gray background frosting. Dent-free anodized scabbard retains approximately 75% of the brown anodized finish with wear primarily to the edges of shell, and uniform speckling/wear to the factory lacquer, particularly to the reverse. Nickel-silver scabbard fittings show light surface wear/age patina with a depression to the underside of the lower ball, but no damage to the retaining screws. The brown leather hanger with early nickel-silver buckle and snout-nosed clip grades EX+ with light wear to the leather and age patina to the fittings. Nice, uncleaned example by RARE maker. EX/EX+ (26075) $845.
