Early SA Dagger. Wilh. Kober, centaur inside double oval TM. Nickel-silver hilt fittings show light surface wear/minor age patina, with lower reverse crossguard group marked, "Th" (Thuringen). Reddish brown oak grained wooden grip shows light surface wear with no cracks, nicks, or chips, with silver eagle and SA insert properly inset. Polished mirror finish blade grades Excellent++/Near MINT, showing only light surface wear/runner marks with no gray shadowing and no nicks to cutting edges. Deeply etched motto retains 100% of medium gray background frosting. Dent-free steel scabbard retains approximately 70% of the original anodization, with portions of lacquer remaining. Reverse scabbard shows much crazing and lifting to finish, with some crazing along edges in a few spots on the upper obverse. Nickel-silver scabbard fittings show light surface wear with two depressions to the lower fitting, but no damage to the lower ball. Scabbard screws appear to be unturned. Scabbard is complete with brown leather hanger in excellent+ condition, complete w/nickel-silver buckle & early, unmarked, nickel-silver snout-nosed clip. Without crazing/lifting to scabbard, dagger would grade excellent++. Exc. (26489) $645. SOLD
