1933 SS Dagger w/Vertical Hanger & RZM/SS Marked Belt Loop. SS 188/36 RZM (unknown maker) TM. The SS 188/36 RZM code is listed as "unknown" 162 of Exploring the Dress Daggers of the German SS by Thomas T. Wittmann. Nickel-silver hilt fittings show light surface wear/age patina with no distribution center marking on the reverse lower fitting. The black ebony grip shows light surface wear only with no nicks, chips or hairline cracks and early quality grip-to-crossguard fit. Polished blade grades EX+ showing minor surface wear/runner marks and light gray shadowing, but no nicks to cutting edge, nor damage to the blade tip. Deeply etched motto shows minor wear to the light gray background frosting. Dent-free, steel scabbard retains approximately 90% of the black enamel, showing light surface wear/scratches to both the obverse and reverse shell. Dent-free nickel-plated scabbard fittings show minor wear, with no lifting or peeling and with no damage to the lower ball. Fittings are retained by the later style dome-head screws. Dagger is complete with unmarked black leather vertical hanger in EX condition features a nickel-plated, square buckle and unmarked nickel-silver upper clip showing wear to the leather and attaching strap. The belt loop with nickel-plated D-ring is marked with "RZM" and "SS". Nice SS combination. EX+ (26207)$3200. HOLD
