TM. Nickel-plated hilt fittings show only
faint surface wear with no loss of plating
and with portions of factory lacquer remaining
on pommel and crossguard with 100% of the
darkening remaining in the recesses of the
pommel cogwheel motif and the TENO pattern
eagle on the crossguard langet. White celluloid
grip plates are perfect with no cracks or
chips with no damage to the retaining screws.
Polished blade grades EX++/Near MINT showing
faint surface wear/runner but, no nicks to
cutting edge. Blade is complete with black
leather blade buffer pad. Reverse upper blade
is marked with the etched TENO pattern eagle
and "Ges.Gesch", while the obverse
blade is etched with the TENO serial number,
"7704". Dent-free steel scabbard
retains approximately 98% of the original
black factory enamel, with a few specks of
wear on the lower right edge. Upper and lower
nickel-plated scabbard fittings show only
light surface wear to the original brushed
finish, with no dents, depressions, or damage.
Scabbard throat is stamped with the matching
serial number, "7704" and scabbard
screws are undamaged. Hewer is complete with
black leather hanger in EX++ condition, to
include the often missing or damaged grip
strap which shows virtually no wear. Nickel-plated
suspension clip is Assmann marked on the reverse
and double stitching shows no wear or damage.
Attached to the hanger is a rare original
portepee in EX+ condition showing minor age
to the aluminum bullion strap with two pairs
of double, dark blue stripes, aluminum slide/stem,
dark blue/aluminum flecked crown. Superb TENO
Hewer complete with hanger and rare portepee.
