Army Officer Dagger. No maker. Silver-plated hilt fittings show surface wear with uniform age patina to well detailed pommel, ferrule, and generic crossguard. Medium orange solid celluloid grip shows light surface wear with some minor scratching and one tiny nick to the center reverse. Polished blade grades excellent+ showing light surface wear and runner marks to flats of blade with several small nicks to right cutting edge. Blade is complete with black leather blade buffer pad. Silver-plated scabbard shows light surface wear with light age patina and excellent detail to the pebbled panels. Lower obverse scabbard shows two faint surface depressions approximately 2" from the tip as well as a depression on the lower reverse. Scabbard shows excellent detail to the suspension bands and is complete with one center-mounted flathead screw. Dagger is complete with original 42cm portepee in VG condition showing wear and some fraying to cord as well as wear to the slide, stem, and acorn. Exc+ (22992) $645.
