Silver-plated hilt fittings show minor wear and age patina to well detailed oak leaf pommel, as well as the generic crossguard with small slope to the brow area between the upper head and the beak of the eagle. Medium orange, solid celluloid grip shows light wear with one tiny nick to lower reverse adjacent to grip ferrule. Polished blade grades EX+ showing light surface wear and faint gray shadowing, but no damage to the cutting edges and is complete with brown leather blade buffer pad. Silver-plated scabbard shows superb detail with minor wear/age patina with portions of factory lacquer remaining adjacent to scabbard throat. There is one faint depression to the lower obverse scabbard shell and a small metal pin has been inserted beneath the upper scabbard band to secure it to the shell. Scabbard features the reverse center mounted screw and thick throat normally associated with Eickhorn produced Army Daggers. Dagger is complete with original, standard pattern hangers in EX condition showing wear to plated fittings and to velvet backings. Exc+ (23566) $625.
