Personalized Army Officer Dagger. Crisply stamped Emil Voos, snake around tree trunk, Solingen 2-line TM. Silver-plated hilt fittings show minor wear/age patina and much factory darkening to the oak leaf embellished pommel, ferrule and "generic" crossguard with the step-down curve in the eagle brow area. As stated on page 132 of Exploring The Dress Daggers of the German Army by Thomas T. Wittmann, "[Voos] daggers usually featured "generic" fittings..". Light yellow, solid celluloid grip shows minor surface wear with no cracks or chips. Plated, mirror finished blade grades EX+ showing minor surface wear/runner marks with some surface lifting to the lower obverse/reverse flats of blade, but no tiny nicks to cutting edges, and is complete with black leather blade buffer pad. Dent-free, silver-plated, WKC pattern scabbard showing only light wear/age patina is constructed with single, side-mounted retaining screw as used by WKC.
