Uncleaned Army Officer Dagger w/Dark Orange Grip. Carl Eickhorn, etched squirrel holding sword TM. Silver-plated hilt fittings show dark age patina to well detailed oak leaf embellished pommel and crossguard with Eickhorn 2nd pattern eagle. Dark orange grip shows a few surface scratches on reverse, but no cracks, chips, or damage. Polished blade grades Exc++ showing light surface wear/runner marks with some gray shadowing, but no pitting or nicks to cutting edges and is complete with brown leather blade buffer pad. Dent-free silver-plated scabbard shows dark age patina with a few spots of oxidation on lower obverse/reverse shell, but no lifting to plating. Scabbard features the thick throat and center mounted, flat-head screw normally associated with Eickhorn 2nd pattern Army daggers. Nice Eickhorn produced Army dagger with uniform dark age patina.
