Army Officer Dagger. WKC, knight's helmet TM. This
textbook example exhibits features associated with
WKC produced Army daggers: 2nd style WKC crossguard
with "tomahawk" beak design and scabbard
with one flat head pattern side-mount, throat retaining
screw as used later in the period. Silver-plated
pommel, ferrule and crossguard show uniform uncleaned
dark) age patina with no lifting or crazing to plating.
Medium yellow, solid celluloid grip shows minor
surface wear/age speckling with several tiny chips
adjacent to pommel. Mirror polished blade grades
EX++ showing light surface wear/runner marks to
the flats of the blade and a few tiny gray specks
near tip, but no nicks to cutting edges. Blade is
complete with dark brown leather blade buffer pad.
Dent-free silver-plated steel scabbard retains much
of original factory frosting on scabbard edges with
age patina and a few specks of oxidation to pebbled
panels and to well detailed oak leaf suspension
