Silver-plated hilt fittings show minor wear and age patina to well detailed oak leaf pommel, as well as the generic crossguard with small slope to the brow area between the upper head and the beak of the eagle. Medium yellow, solid celluloid grip shows light wear with some age residue in the recesses of the typical longer, nine sectioned Klaas pattern grip, but no cracks or chips. Plated blade grades EX showing surface wear/runner marks, some gray shadowing/speckling, but no nicks to cutting edges. Blade is complete with brown leather buffer pad. Dent-free, scabbard shows minor surface wear/dark age patina and is complete with asterisk to cover the molding seam in the suspension bands which is standard for Klaas produced daggers. The 42cm bullion portepee grades EX showing minor age with one area of fraying to cord where portepee has rubbed against grip/crossguard. Deluxe hangers grade EX showing age/wear to facings with moth damage to backings and dark age patina to early heavy fittings. Exc+ (24324) $845.
