Heavily silvered hilt fittings show dark age patina to the well detailed oak leaf embellished pomme, ferrulel and to the exclusive F.W. Höller crossguard with superb detail to the eagle's chest, eye and beak as well as wreath and swastika. Portions of original factory frosting/darkening remain in the recesses of the pommel and crosssguard. Medium orange, solid celluloid grip is perfect with nice age toning in the recesses of the grip swirls is perfect with no cracks or chips. Polished blade grades EX+/EX++ showing light surface wear/runner marks and one small nick to the lower left cutting edge, but no graying or nicks to cutting edges and is complete with brown leather blade buffer pad. Dent-free, silver-plated steel scabbard shows light age patina with potions of original factory frosting remaining on the edges of the shell. Nice uncleaned Höller example. Exc+/Exc++ (24422) $675.
