Personalized Army Officer Dagger. ACS, vertical
scales TM. This mid-production example features
the Alcoso pattern crossguard used from 1937-1940
as shown on page 21, lower of Exploring the Dress
Daggers of the German Army by Thomas T. Wittmann.
The silver plated hilt fittings show light surface
wear/age patina to a well detailed Alcoso oak leaf
embellished pommel, ferrule and beautifully detailed
crossguard. Reverse crossguard is jeweler engraved
with "Dr. Dahmann" in well cut, block
letters. Orange grip is excellent with no cracks
or chips. Blade is near excellent minus showing
runner marks to the flats of the blade, minor graying,
no nicks to cutting edges. Blade is complete with
dark brown leather blade buffer pad. Point is needle
perfect. Dent free silver plated scabbard shows
near 100% of original finish with standard flat
head screws used throughout Alcoso production. Patina
on all metal components match perfectly. Dr Dahmann
was a Physiologist at the University of Heidelberg
with the military rank of Oberstabsarzt. Investment
