Uncleaned Army Officer Dagger w/Portepee & Deluxe Hangers. Carl Eickhorn, etched squirrel holding sword TM. Silver-plated hilt fittings show age patina and portions of factory frosting/lacquer to oak leaf embellished pommel and well detailed crossguard with Eickhorn 2nd pattern eagle. Medium orange solid celluloid grip with nice age toning in the recesses of the grip swirls, shows minor surface wear with no cracks or chips. Polished blade grades EX++/Near MINT showing faint surface wear/runner marks, but no shadowing, pitting or nicks to cutting edge and is complete with black leather blade buffer pad. Dent-free silver-plated scabbard shows age patina with surface age spotting to scabbard shell but no lifting to plating. Scabbard is complete with the thick throat and reverse, center mounted, flat-head screw normally associated with Eickhorn 2nd pattern Army daggers. The 42cm portepee grades Exc+ showing light wear/age primarily to cord/acorn, but no fraying. The deluxe hangers grade Exc+/Exc++ showing minor wear to fabric and age to heavy deluxe fittings.
