Uncleaned Army Officer Dagger w/Portepee, Deluxe Hangers & Officer Brocade Belt. Carl Eickhorn, etched squirrel holding sword TM. Silver-plated hilt fittings show dark, gun-metal-gray age patina to well detailed oak leaf embellished pommel and crossguard with Eickhorn 2nd pattern eagle. Much factory darkening remains in the recesses of the pommel oak leaves as well as the crossguard eagle/swastika. Dark yellow, solid celluloid grip is perfect with no cracks or chips, and with nice age toning in the recesses of the grip swirls. Polished blade grades Near MINT showing faint surface wear/runner marks, primarily where runners have rested against blade. Blade shows no gray specks, pitting or nicks to cutting edges and is complete with brown leather blade buffer pad. Dent-free, silver-plated scabbard shows dark, gun-metal-gray age patina age matching age patina on hilt fittings, and is complete with portions of factory lacquer/frosting on upper obverse shell. Scabbard is complete with the thick throat and reverse, center mounted, flat-head screw normally associated with Eickhorn 2nd pattern Army daggers. The original 42cm portepee grades MINT/Unissued and is complete with original factory string. The deluxe hangers with D.R.G.M. marked metal tabs grade MINT/Unissued showing no wear or age to fabric or fittings. The Officer's belt features bright, ribbed aluminum bullion brocade facing with two bluish/dark green stripes sewn to Feldgrau velvet backing. Belt is in MINT/Unissued condition w/perfect brocade and backing, MINT Army pattern buckle, and both bullion/green keepers. Unmarked buckle retains 100% of factory frosting and darkening to oak leaf wreath and Wehrmacht pattern eagle.
