Uncleaned Army Officer's Dagger w/Portepee. Carl Eickhorn, etched squirrel holding sword TM. Silver-plated hilt fittings show age patina with much factory darkening remaining in the recesses of the well detailed oak leaf embellished pommel and crossguard. Light yellow solid celluloid grip shows minor surface wear but no nicks or chips. Polished blade grades EX+/EX++ showing light surface wear/runner marks and light gray shadowing on obverse/reverse center flats of blade, primarily, but no pitting or nicks to cutting edges and is complete with brown leather blade buffer pad. Dent-free, silver-plated scabbard shows age patina matching the hilt fittings and is complete with portions of factory darkening and with the thick throat and reverse, center mounted, flat-head screw normally associated with Eickhorn 2nd pattern Army daggers. Dagger is complete with an EX+/Near MINT 42cm portepee showing virtually no wear or age. EX++ (25307) $795.
