Army Officer's Dagger. Carl
Eickhorn, etched squirrel holding sword TM. Silver-plated
hilt fittings show minor wear and age patina to
well detailed oak leaf pommel, as well as the generic
crossguard with small slope to the brow area between
the upper head and the beak of the eagle. Medium
yellow, solid celluloid grip is perfect with no
cracks, chips or nicks.. Polished blade grades EX+
showing light surface wear and faint gray shadowing,
but no damage to the cutting edges and is complete
with brown leather blade buffer pad. Silver-plated
scabbard shows superb detail with minor wear/age
patina with portions of factory lacquer remaining
adjacent to scabbard throat. There are several faint
depressions to the lower obverse/reverse scabbard
shell, but no lifting or oxidation to the plating.
Scabbard features the reverse center mounted screw
and thick throat normally associated with Eickhorn
produced Army Daggers. EX+ (25412) $650.
