Uncleaned Army Officer Dagger w/Dark Orange Grip & Portepee. WKC, knight's helmet TM. Silver-plated hilt fittings show virtually no wear with dark gun metal gray patina to the oak leaf embellished pommel and 2nd pattern WKC crossguard with "tomahawk" style beak design. Dark orange grip, age toned darker on the obverse, shows virtually no surface wear with no nicks or cracks. Polished blade grades EX++/Near MINT showing faint surface wear/runner marks and a few specks of light gray shadowing, but no nicks to the cutting edges, and is complete with tan leather blade buffer pad. Dent-free, silver-plated "generic" steel scabbard is covered in uncleaned patina matching the hilt fittings with portions of factory frosting/lacquer remaining on the upper shell and adjacent to the suspension bands. Scabbard features the thin throat and reverse center-mounted, headless screw as found on "generic" scabbards. The original 42cm portepee grades EX++ showing only light age/wear with no fraying to cord or damage to acorn. Nice, Uncleaned WKC produced dagger obtained in Germany.
