Uncleaned Army Officer Dagger w/Portepee & Deluxe Hangers. WKC, knight's helmet TM. Silver-plate over gray metal hilt fittings show light surface wear/age patina with portions of the factory lacquer remaining on the oak leaf embellished pommel, ferrule and 2nd pattern WKC crossguard with "tomahawk" style beak design. Light yellow, solid celluloid grip shows a few tiny age specks on obverse, but no cracks or chips. Mirror polished blade grades Near MINT showing minor runner marks to flats of blade and some faint gray shadowing, but no pitting or nicks to cutting edges and is complete with brown leather buffer pad. Dent-free, silver-plated steel scabbard shows light surface wear/age patina and a few small areas of oxidation/speckling to pebbled shell with much factory frosting remaining on edges of scabbard. Scabbard features the post-1937 pattern single side-mounted scabbard throat retention screw as used by WKC. The 42cm portepee grades EX++ minor wear/age to stem and acorn, but no rips or fraying.
