Uncleaned Army Officer's Dagger w/Portepee & Deluxe Hangers.F.W. Höller, thermometer inside double-oval TM. Heavily silvered hilt fittings show dark, uncleaned age patina to the well detailed oak leaf embellished pommel as well as the exclusive F.W. Höller crossguard with excellent eye and beak definition, fine chest weave and swastika clarity. Medium yellow, solid celluloid grip shows light surface wear with no chips or hairline cracks. Polished blade grades EX++ retaining much of the original cross graining and showing light surface wear/runner marks where blade runners have rested against the flats of the blade and a few specks of gray shadowing, but no nicks to cutting edges. Blade is complete with brown leather buffer pad. Dent-free steel scabbard shows minor surface wear with dark, uncleaned age patina matching the hilt fittings and is complete with one center placed, flush-mounted, headless scabbard throat retaining screw. The original 42cm portepee shows age/wear with some fraying to cord where it has rubbed against the crossguard over the years. Deluxe hangers grade EX++ showing minor age to fabric and heavy silvered fittings. EX++ (26114) $845.
