Army Officer Dagger w/Rare Glass-Like Orange Grip, Hangers & Teardrop Belt Loop. WKC, knight's helmet TM. This textbook example exhibits features associated with WKC produced Army daggers: 2nd style WKC crossguard with "tomahawk" beak design and scabbard with one, side-mounted, flat head pattern throat retaining screw as used on later production examples. Silver-plated pommel, ferrule and crossguard show light age patina with a few specks of crazing top of the pommel and reverse crossguard. Medium orange, glass-like grip shows minor surface wear with one small chip on upper reverse adjacent to pommel, but no cracks and is nicely age toned. Mirror polished blade grades EX+/EX++ showing light surface wear/runner marks with light rubbing to the left obverse edge, but no nicks to cutting edge and is complete with dark brown leather blade buffer pad. Dent-free silver-plated steel scabbard shows light age patina with portions of original factory frosting on the edges or the scabbard shell. Dagger is complete with EX++ deluxe hangers with leather tabs and brown leather teardrop belt loop. Nice WKC Army dagger combination with rare glass-like grip. Exc++ (26498)$995.
