Diplomatic Dagger. Alcoso (ACS, scales) TM. Silver-plated hilt fittings show only light surface wear to beautifully- detailed eagle head pommel and crossguard, with fittings internally numbered, “51”. Nicely-toned simulated mother-of- pearl grip plates are perfect, with no cracks, chips, or damage. Plated blade grades excellent+, with light surface wear/runner marks and a few light specks of gray shadowing. Blue leather blade buffer pad is present. Silver-plated scabbard shows excellent detail to pebbling and to oak leaf scabbard bands, with one minor depression to lower obverse, approximately ½” from tip of scabbard. Dagger is complete with original portepee w/correct small acorn. Beautiful example of a rare dagger recently obtained in Germany. Exc+/Exc++ (19107) $10,500.
