Uncleaned Diplomatic Dagger w/Portepee & Hangers. Alcoso, ACS scales Solingen TM. Uncleaned, silver-plated hilt fittings show light surface wear with uncleaned, dark, gun-metal gray age patina to the well-detailed eagle head pommel, ferrule and crossguard, with left-facing Diplomatic pattern eagle. Nicely-toned, simulated mother-of-pearl grip plates show light surface wear with no cracks or chips. Polished blade grades EX showing minor surface wear/runner marks with uniform gray spotting on the obverse/reverse, but no nicks to cutting edges. Blade is complete with dark blue felt buffer pad. Dent-free, silver-plated scabbard shows only minor surface wear with uncleaned, dark, gun-metal gray age patina matching the hilt fittings with superb detail to the pebbled scabbard body and the oak leaf suspension bands. Dagger is compete with the correct thin cord small acorn in EX++ condition showing light wear, but no fraying to the cord or acorn. Included with the dagger are a set of EX++ hangers constructed of of silver herringbone pattern aluminum bullion facings on black velvet backings with gilted aluminum upper fitting, buckles and slides, and gray metal lower clips which show minor wear/age to plating. Nice Diplomatic combination with all accouterment recently obtained in Germany. NOTE: JRB&M has not, will not, disassemble this dagger to inspect for internal markings. EX+ (24213) $16,500.
