Nickel-plate over gray metal hilt fittings show light surface wear/gray surface oxidation with loss of plating primarily to obverse pommel where grip strap has rubbed. Black bakelite grip plates are perfect with undamaged HJ emblem properly inset into obverse grip plate. Plated, blade without motto, grades EX/EX+ with minor runner marks, gray shadowing and a few tiny nicks to spine of blade, but no pitting or nicks to the cutting edge which shows minor sharpening. Blade is complete with black leather blade buffer pad. Dent-free, steel scabbard retains approximately 98% of original black enamel, showing minor crazing and a spot of missing paint on obverse tip. and a spot ofsurface crazing on the upper reverse shell. Scabbard is complete with black leather hanger/belt loop complete with grip strap in EX+ condition showing light surface wear/age. Grip strap rivet is missing, but no rips or tears. EX+ (25172) $425.
