Hunting Association Hirschfänger. "Z"
within a crowned shield, (Clemen & Jung Waffenfabrik)
TM. Silver-plated hilt fittings show minor wear
with dark, uncleaned age patina to the fluted pommel
cap, recurved crossguard with stag hoof quillons
and fluted clamshell with portions of factory darkening
remains in the recesses of the hilt fittings. Dark
brown stag horn grip with lighter toned highlights,
is perfect with no cracks or chips and is complete
with silver-over-bronze Hunting Association emblem,
showing minor wear to silver plate, properly pinned
to the obverse. Plated double-etched blade grades
Exc/Exc+ showing surface wear/runner marks with
uniform gray shadowing, but no pitting or nicks
to cutting edge. Etched panels feature standard
hunting scenes of stag and doe and hunting dog attacking
a boar on obverse, and stag and fox on reverse.
Blade is complete with tan leather buffer pad and
shows some gray shadowing to the background frosting
in the etched panels. Green leather scabbard shows
light surface wear/some minor swelling, but no rips,
tears, or creases. Dent-free, silver-plated scabbard
fittings show dark, uncleaned age patina and portions
factory lacquer & are complete with both retaining
staples. Nice Clemen & Jung example obtained
