"H" double-oval TM. Nickel-plated hilt
fittings show no wear with no lifting to the plating
on the fluted pommel, ribbed ferrule, or recurved
crossguard. Oak and laurel leaf embellished clamshell
shows no wear or lifting and is complete with properly
pinned Rifle Association insignia with perfect enamel.
White fluted celluloid grip is perfect with no cracks
or chips and is complete with gilt crossed rifles
properly pinned to the obverse. Plated, double-etched
blade grades Near MINT/MINT, showing virtually no
wear with no graying, pitting, or nicks to the cutting
edge. Etch pattern features hunting scenes of a
shooting target with hunting equipment, hunting
dog with fox in forest setting, and running stag.
Etched scenes are surrounded by floral motifs with
100% of the light gray background frosting remaining.
Blade is complete with the original green felt blade
buffer pad. Black leather scabbard shell is perfect
with no creases, wear nicks, rips, tears, or damage
to the reverse stitching. Dent-free nickel-plated
upper and lower scabbard fittings show virtually
no wear with no lifting and are complete with both
retaining staples. Early solid green wool portepee
grades Exc++ showing minor wear/age primarily to
