Gilded brass hilt fittings retain 100% of the fire gilding on the oak leaf embellished knuckle-bow and crossguard, and to the deluxe clamshell which features a central raised boar's head surrounded by raised oak leaf and acorn motif on a stippled background. Off-white celluloid grip plates are perfect with no wear, age, cracks or chips. Both obverse and reverse grip plates feature three, heavily detailed, gold acorns with 100% of the factory gilding remaining. Plated double-etched blade measuring 24.5cm in length grades Near MINT/MINT, showing only faint runner marks with no gray shadowing, pitting or nicks to cutting edge, and is complete with black leather blade buffer pad. Obverse blade features scenes of a hunter with hunting dogs attacking a wild boar, while the reverse scene features a hunter shooting at a running stag and doe. Both etched panels retain 100% of the light gray background frosting. Dent-free black leather scabbard grades MINT with no wear, rips, tears, or creases, and no damage to the reverse stitching. Upper and lower gilded brass fittings grade MINT with 100% of the factory gilding and factory lacquer remaining. Obverse lower fitting features an incised oak leaf and acorn motif, with heavy cast oak leaf motif to the frog lug. Attached to the lug is an original red and gold WKC factory control tag.
