Unusual Early Hunting Hirschfänger.Crossed sabers beneath a crown with C K & Co. Garantie (Carl Kaiser & Co., Solingen) TM. Brass hilt fittings have beautifully chiseled acorns on curved crossguard and a scene of three stags on the clamshell. Stag horn grip is in superb condition with three unique oak leaves/acorns in place. This is the first time that I have observed this pattern oak leaves. Polished blade grades excellent with some graying and minor pitting. Double-etched blade features unique pattern with crossed muskets, hunting horns, stags, a wild boar, hunting dog and hare. Black leather scabbard shows normal wear with no tears or creases w/perfect stitching on the reverse. Brass fittings show normal wear with both retaining pins present. EX+/EX++ (27298) $1,550.
