2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger w/Gilded Pommel Swastikas. Carl Eickhorn, etched squirrel holding sword TM. Natural finished aluminum hilt fittings show light surface wear with factory darkening remaining in the recesses of the well detailed Eickhorn "heart-shaped" pommel, and eagle & swastika crossguard with Eickhorn style incised oak leaves on the upper surface of the quillons. The obverse pommel swastika contains a small casting flaw with approximately 75% of gilding remaining while approximately 50% of gilding remains on the reverse swastika. White celluloid grip shows minor age/wear, but no cracks or chips and is complete with tight springy aluminum wire wrap. Polished blade grades EX+showing minor surface wear/runner marks, and a few age specks on lower obverse/reverse and one faint nick on the lower left edge. Blade retains virtually 100% of the crossgrtaining and is complete with blue pebbled leather blade buffer pad. Dent-free, plated scabbard shows light wear and is complete with the thicker scabbard throat usually found on Eickhorn examples and retained by two unturned domed head screws.
