2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger w/Gilded Swastikas.No maker. Although unmarked, this dagger exhibits the textbook characteristics associated with WKC produced 2nd model Luftwaffe daggers. Aluminum hilt fittings with light gray factory finish show light wear to the WKC, "no maker pattern pommel with pebbled finish to the background of the swastikas which retain approximately 90% of the gilding on the obverse swastika and 10% on the reverse. The crossguard with raised/relief oak leaves on the upper quillon surfaces feature the left over right oak leaf pattern as used by WKC. Off-white, plaster filled, celluloid grip with tight twisted wire wrap, has one tiny hairline crack on the upper left edge adjacent to the underside of the pommel, but no chips or surface damage. Polished blade grades EX++ showing faint surface wear/runner marks with some light gray shadowing, but no pitting, or nicks to the cutting edge, and is complete with brown leather buffer pad. Dent-free, nickel-plated scabbard shows retains virtually 100% of the factory lacquer and is complete with the distinctive suspension band oak leaves, one upper flat head throat retaining screw, and the oval shaped throat opening as found on WKC produced daggers.
