Red
Cross EM Hewer w/Frog. No maker. Nickel-plated
hilt fittings show light surface w/speckling to
plating primarily to top of pommel with portions
of factory lacquer remaining in the recesses of
the well detailed Red Cross emblem on the obverse
langet. Black bakelite grip plates are perfect with
no cracks or chips, but with oxidation to screws.
Polished double sawtooth blade grades Exc++ showing
only minor runner marks and a few gray specks, but
no pitting or nicks to the cutting edge. Reverse
ricasso is stamped, "Ges.Geschützt"
and is complete with black leather blade buffer
pad. Dent-free, steel scabbard retains approximately
85% of the original black enamel showing minor surface
crazing to the black enamel and of missing paint
primarily on center obverse/reverse shell adjacent
to frog. Nickel-plated scabbard fittings show light
surface wear with no dents or damage to retaining
screws, Hewer is complete with original 4-rivet
triple-stitched leather frog in Exc+
condition showing light surface wear with lower
reverse frog numbered "99". Exc+ (24985)
