Red Cross EM Hewer w/Frog. No maker. Nickel-plated hilt fittings show light surface w/speckling to plating primarily to edges of pommel with no damage to the crossguard or to the well detailed Red Cross emblem on the obverse langet. Black bakelite grip plates are perfect with no cracks or chips. Polished double sawtooth blade grades EX+/EX++ showing minor runner marks and light gray shadowing/specks, but no pitting or nicks to the cutting edge. Reverse ricasso is stamped, "Ges.Geschützt" and is complete with black leather blade buffer pad. Dent-free, steel scabbard retains approximately 70% of the original black enamel showing uniform surface wear to the black enamel on the obverse/reverse shell. Nickel-plated scabbard fittings show light surface wear and some surface oxidation and a depression to the underside of the lower fitting. Hewer is complete with an original 4-rivet, triple-stitched leather frog in VG+/EX condition showing surface wear/age and minor damage to stitching, but no rips or tears. EX+ (25753) $950. ~SOLD~
