Red Cross EM Hewer w/Frog. No maker. Nickel-plated
hilt fittings show faint surface wear with a few
tiny hairline cracks to the plating, but no lifting
or speckling. The crossguard retains 100% of the
plating with virtually no wear to factory lacquer
and no damage to the well detailed Red Cross emblem
on the obverse langet. Black bakelite grip plates
are perfect with no cracks or chips, and no damage
to the retaining screws. Polished double sawtooth
blade grades EX+/EX++ showing minor runner marks
and light gray shadowing/specks where runners have
rested, but no pitting or nicks to the cutting edge.
Reverse ricasso is stamped, "Ges.Geschützt"
and is complete with black leather buffer pad. Dent-free,
steel scabbard retains approximately 95% of the
original black enamel showing minor surface scratching
to the black enamel with no major loss of factory
finish. Nickel-plated scabbard fittings show light
surface wear, but no lifting, dents or damage to
retaining screws. The black leather, 4-rivet, triple-stitched
construction frog shows minor wear/age to leather,
but no rips, tears, or damage to stitching, and
no loose rivets. Lower reverse is stamped, "H".
